The executive board consists of up to seven volunteers: a President,
Akaitcho director, Dehcho director, Nahendeh Director, Monfwi director, and two directors at large. Currently the MRA is staffed by one full time executive director and one seasonal summer staff.

The mission of the MRA is to foster active, healthy lifestyles across the supported Mackenzie Region by connecting communities, strengthening local recreation and leadership, and helping programs access the resources they need to thrive.
