How to Participate

Step 1    Click the button below to register for FREE!

Step 2    Print off Bingo Card.

Step 3    Take photos of you completing as many skills on the bingo card as you can

Step 4    Follow Mackenzie Recreation Association on Facebook for tips and inspiration. 

Step 5    Submit photos and bingo card with at least one completed line by February 28th. 


NOTE: Must reside in the MRA region to be eligible for prizes!

Tracking Progress

Step 1    Take a photo of yourself performing the skill.  

Step 2    Check off corresponding skill on your Bingo Card. 

Step 3    Save photos as you go or submit all at one time.

Step 4    Submit photos and bingo card with at least one completed line by February 28th, 2021 at 11 pm to be entered into the draw(s) * see below.

Rules

1. One participant per bingo card.

  • ages 6 and up to participate. Must reside in the MRA region
  • If you wish to participate as a family or group, each participant must register separately and use their own bingo card to be eligible for prizes.


2. Each participant can submit a maximum of ONE bingo card.

 

3. Photos must be that of the registered participant to be entered into the draws.

  • Camera shy? Photos don’t have to include your face! Take a close up of your hands/feet doing the activity. 


4.  Skills can be demonstrated through different day-to-day activities, work, sports, games etc. and can be modified based on your abilities.

  •   Follow us on Facebook for tips, progressions, and inspiration. 

 

5. Have FUN. Be Creative. Be YOUR best.


6.  Complete and submit as many skills as you can by February 28th, 2021 at 11 pm and we will take care of the rest! 

  • Must have at least one completed line to be entered into the draw(s).


Draw Details

  • Think of your bingo card as a progression (like go-go-bingo) for all draws. Only submit one card per participant.  
  • Participants must achieve at least one line to be entered into a draw. 
  • A winner will be drawn from each category (A, B, C) on March 1st, 2021.
  • Prize recipients will have two prize options to choose from in their category. 
  • Prizes that require sizing will be purchased once the winner has chosen their prize.

We chose "SHOW us your SKILLS" as our event name to highlight the importance of trying and developing new Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) regardless of skill level. The purpose of the challenge is to encourage you to participate, be YOUR best, set and achieve goals, and have FUN!

Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) are the building blocks for movement and they form the foundation for many of the specific motor skills required in leisure activities, sport, work, and life. 


Furthermore, developing FMS is an important step towards establishing a life-long commitment to physical activity.

Regional Prize

Help your community win!

One community from each MRA region with the most bingo challenge submissions will win a $4000 recreation grant! 


These grants will go to the recreation department, but can be used for any recreation program, equipment, or event that the community wants. 


Promote the event, invite your friends and family to participate, and help your community win the regional grand prize!

Our community populations range vastly! To give each community an equal opportunity to win in the Physical Literacy Bingo Challenge we have added a BONUS recreation grant which will be awarded to the community with the most submissions per capita!
